The tour starts with the visit of San Miniato al Monte church on a hilltop just outside the medieval city walls. It is  one of the oldest monuments in town dating back to the 1000s and still featuring its original Romanesque architecture and decorations. A few minutes short walk  will lead you to the Piazzale Michelangelo, the famous outlook of Florence with the most spectacular view on the city. You will continue walking down the hill  towards the city across the panoramic Rose Garden  and walking past the Poggi’s just restored fountains.
You will then enter the  old city thru one of its medieval gates and walk  the authentic residential neighborhood on the way to a  historical wine shop. Here you will taste the crostini toscani/bruschettas with the traditional spreads, Tuscan ham and salami  paired with the best local wines.
This is a 3H guided tour.
